This Men’s Day is a transformative Sunday for the heart, soul, and mind, where we honor the sacred call of Black men to rise as builders of the house, healers of generations, and warriors for justice—living on God's promises, purpose, and power.
WE ARE MEN ON A MISSION
Magnolia’s 2026 Men’s Day Worship is a clarion call for Black men to rise as builders of community, healers of generations, and champions of justice.

Our theme declares: ROOTED TO RISE: A WORD TO EVERY GENERATION. ​The wisdom of our elders, the strength of our brothers, and the promise of our young men belong in the same room. Every generation has something to teach, something to learn, and a responsibility to help another rise.
Building Men. Bridging Generations. Strengthening Our Future.
Rooted in faith and strengthened by those who came before us, we embrace the work of building strong families, nurturing young leaders, and advancing the common good. Our lives bear witness to God’s power, our ancestors’ sacrifices, and the possibilities still unfolding.

This year’s color is purple, reflecting dignity, spiritual strength, and purpose. Men’s Day attire is black suits with purple ties or bow ties. Special thanks to John Robinson, Chair, and Michael Tremble, Co-Chair, for their leadership and service. Deep roots. Shared responsibility. Generations rising together.

Men’s Day Panel

What must Black men teach, learn, heal, and build together so every generation can live whole, healthy, and free? Moderated by Pastor Francys Johnson, this intergenerational conversation brings purpose, responsibility, leadership, brotherhood, and wisdom to the same table. The well-being of Black men shapes our families' strength, our communities' health, and the possibilities our children inherit.

We explore how men cultivate healthy minds and bodies, strengthen relationships, expand economic opportunity, and turn faith into public service. That work demands honest conversation about the pressures we carry, the support we need, and the responsibility to confront injustice while building lives of purpose.
​
The wisdom of our elders and the vision of our young men belong in conversation with one another. Each generation carries something the other needs. We honor those who came before us by improving conditions for those who come after us. What must we carry forward? What must we heal? And what are we prepared to build together?

By connecting spiritual growth with education, health, and financial stewardship, this conversation calls Black men to put faith to work. Rooted in the wisdom of those who came before us, we accept the responsibility to strengthen families, heal across generations, and advance justice. What we build today becomes part of what the next generation inherits.

Our panel features Keleen Williams on purpose; Dr. Reggie Simpkins on responsibility; Mayor Jonathan McCollar on leadership; Lorenzo Mills on brotherhood; and William “Bill” Gardner on wisdom. Together, they bring the experience, perspective, and conviction needed for an honest conversation across generations.

Magnolia proudly honors our 2026 Men’s Day award recipients: Deacon Carlos Brown, Distinguished Service Award; Dr. Torian White, Man on a Mission; Percell Tremble, Service Award; and Kelan Williams, One to Watch. Their leadership and service strengthen our church, uplift our community, and give the next generation examples worth following. We celebrate men whose lives put faith into action and whose contributions advance the common good.

After worship, the celebration continues with a fellowship meal that brings members, families, and guests together around the table. Through shared food, conversation, and laughter, we deepen the bonds that make us a church family. We thank everyone whose preparation and service make this gathering possible. Come celebrate our honorees, connect across generations, and share in the joy of a community rooted in faith and rising together.

It is an act of faith in what God can do through them, an act of justice in a world that too often denies them access, and an act of love for a future we may never see but are still called to shape.

​The Scholars Fund is one of the ways we answer that call. It provides vital financial assistance to graduating seniors from Bulloch County who are pursuing higher education. With your support, we help turn caps and gowns into careers, and dreams into destiny.
